The Dog House Resort & Spa Policies


Here at The Dog House Resort & Spa, we want to provide the safest enviroment possible.
We have strict cleaning and vaccination protocols in place to make sure your dog
will not be subjected to any un-necessary diseases, parasites or germs.

We are also very careful when your dog is playing in the day care - that it is only with other dog friendly dogs.

 
All dogs must arrive on a leash wearing a quick release collar (black snap type) and tag with dogs name and owners name on it.  Or one will be provided at a rental rate of $1.00 per day.

  1.  All dogs must be people and dog friendly.

  2.  All dogs must be healthy.  If your dog is ill (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or doing anything un-usual),  
       Please do not bring them in until your veterinarian has given them a clean bill of health.

  3.  All dogs must be spayed or neutered if older than 6 months.

  4.  All vaccinations must be current.  Proof of Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper (DHLPP) is required.  Proof of negative fecal flotation is required every six months.

  5.  Bordetella is required every 6 months.  We require a one week waiting period after receiving the very first initial Bordetella vaccination.  

  6.  All dogs must pass an interview and demonstrate a non-aggressive disposition.

  7.  All dogs will be supervised and will be invited to attend structured activities through-out the day.

  8.  Safety of the dogs is our first priority.  Though we do everything possible to prevent incidents, dog fights can happen and can result in injury. 
       If injuries occur, we will take your dog to the vet, and provide you with notification immediately.

  9.  We're sorry but we cannot accept Pit Bulls, American Pit Bulls, Stafforshire Bull Terriers or any mixes of these breeds. 
       We reserve the right to refuse any other breed that displays aggressive behavior.

10.  All payments must be made at time of service.

11.  All services require a reservation.

12.  All cancellations require a minimum 24 hour notice.  Holiday cancellations require a 72 hour notice.   
      Without proper notice, you will be billed for the reservation - if it cannot be filled with another client.
