All I have to say is " Do you want to go see Aunt Ashley? How about Uncle Bob? Are you going to do tricks for Aunt Tiffany? Will you let Aunt Tara give you a good scrub down today?" and my dog responds with the biggest excited "ruff" you've ever heard. The Dog House is an amazing place. As a former employee myself, I get asked all the time "Is it really like Disneyland for dogs?" and "Is the staff really as caring as they appear?" and I always respond with a resounding YES! Bob & Bobbie have built this business up from just a two-person grooming salon to a one-stop dog shop! They are very knowledgeable but also very humble. There are questions they don't know the answer to and they are not afraid to say "I'm not sure..." and the best part is what they say next "...but let me find out for you." Wow! I was a client first, then an employee and I will always look back fondly on my years with The Dog House Resort & Spa. Trust your heart and your dog. If you walk into a facility and your dog perks with excitement and runs to the daycare door or the grooming door, you know you've picked the right place.

I took my dog Sam to the dog house, it was a very nice place and the staff was very friendly. They took me on a tour of the establishment when I was going to have Sam stay in their daycare. They had private suites for each of their dogs, it was very clean, and had a very nice play area. I cannot say enough good things about the Dog House, I have been to several different places in the area and this is by far the best. The staff treats you like you are family and willing to answer any questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for an outstanding place for your furry friends.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE DOG HOUSE! I have a very finicky Pomeranian who does not do well with strangers. I have been taking Niko to the Dog house for the past six months and he absolutely loves the staff. He has been there for grooming and stayed at their day care on several occasions and he is always treated so well. They have worked with him and he minds so much better. I just wanted to say thank you to Bob and the rest of the staff for making our experience such a great one.

Bob and the staff at the dog house have groomed and played with our dog Oliver for the last 4 years. When our dog was a puppy and needed his first hair cut, I called different shops to see what was offered for grooming. Bob and his staff were so friendly and I remember thinking it was great that they would work with Oliver to make him feel comfortable. When Oliver was a puppy, he had some allergies and/or skin irritations and they took such great care of him and were genuinely concerned about seeing if they could help provide treatment with their services. They gave him a dog "paraffin" dip to help his itching and would keep his legs wrapped up in warm towels for extra time to help them heal. About 1 year after we started taking Oliver to the doghouse for grooming, Bob opened the daycare and kenneling. The daycare space is great! Oliver loves to climb and play on the toys and the staff keeps the area so clean and organized! We have also kenneled Oliver and he stays in a very nice kennel space with a cot and plenty of room. Oliver is always excited when we pull into the parking lot, and does "circles" around the staff when we enter the shop. I wouldn't trust Oliver with anyone else except with Bob and the staff at the dog house!

absolutely love the doghouse. they do a great job with boarding and grooming and our golden retriever absolutely loves it there. she gets excited when we pull in the parking lot.. we never worry when we are away when our teagan is staying with Bob and his staff:)

Bob and his staff at the Dog House Resort and Spa have provided a "home away from home" for our best friend Murphy.Whether it be for grooming, day care, or overnight boarding, the services provided are professional and first rate. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and competent. We have complete peace of mind when we leave our buddy with them. Highly recommend!

Best place to bring you dog in Holland.Voted best in Holland for the past 3 years.Wouldn't bring my dogs anywhere esle. The people here are GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXCELLENT place for dogs! Super friendly and helpful staff. My dog can't wait to get into the building when we drop him off and is always happy when we pick him up. Lots of extra services are available too.

sunnyday 02/16/2009 The owners of this salon are great. They treat each dog with care, and seem to genuinely care about each pet and pet parent that walks thru the door. I have recommended this salon to a couple of friends, and they are remarked on how friendly the staff is, and are now sending their friends there. Even my shy,little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel bolts out of the car to run inside the Dog House-it doesn't get much better than that. They also have a very cute dog "barkery" with bakery-style doggie treats, and adorable little doggie clothes for sale.
Bat 06/22/2009 They are the best grooming service I have ever used. The "Dog House" groomers did an excellent job on my 'Aussie". The price I paid was not only less than other grooming services, but by far more modern and superior. I will always take my pet to the "Dog House Resort and Spa
JCS23 08/05/2009 Absolutely the best in West Michigan. We have been bringing our dog there for grooming & day care for over a year now and we love it! Groomers are excellent at what they do. Regardless of how many times you get "the same as last time," they still ask if you would like to make any changes in the grooming. Day Care/Lodging is wonderful! I know my dog is in good hands because the staff encourage tours of the facilities and welcome our little quirks (like sending a couple personal items so our dog feels more at home). I highly recommend The Dog House to anyone with a dog. They take all breeds, ages, sizes! Sometimes, they will fit in a dog for grooming on the same day and when they get a cancellation, they call to see if you'd like to fill it. What I really like though, is all the friendly faces who are quick to greet me as soon as I walk through the door.

Barb 08/12/2010 The Dog House is simply the best groomer in West Michigan. Bob, and his staff are efficient and caring. I am so impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the Dog House, and would never bring my pets to any other groomer. One special memory I have of Bob's love for the animals in his care happened about a year ago. My little shih tzu (Tucker) became seriously ill after I dropped him off to be groomed. Bob called me to come early for my precious little guy. I came to pick up Tucker, and Bob met me with a concerned look on his face. He gave me the details of Tucker's condition, and then took such care in carrying Tucker (wrapped in a clean soft towel) out to my car. Not once did Bob ever complain about having to clean up several bouts of vomiting and colon distress. Bob's only concern was for Tucker's welfare. Bob even requested that I would call him later, to update him on our Vet's diagnosis. Tucker recovered, and we were blessed to have him another year. This July our dear little guy passed away from Congestive Heart failure. Bob and his staff mourned with us, and even sent us a sympathy card. If you want your pet to have the best possible groomer, you simply must see Bob at the Dog House Report and Spa. I award them the highest rating of 5 stars!

Ron 06/10/2011 All you can say about Bob and his staff at The Dog House is that they are the best in every way! They are really nice people who love animals and do a great job grooming my Minni and Olive. They also do pet photography and the portraits they did of my girls are wonderful. I moved to Zeeland from Indiana almost five years ago and tried two other groomers in the first six months I was here. I found Bob and The Dog House and have been coming here ever since. If you're just moving to the area or looking for another groomer you really need to check out the Dog House. You won't go anywhere else.
